Gretna Greens Smoothie 💚🥬
There’s nothing quite like a clean green smoothie to start the day or break your fast in the afternoon. I had something like this for my breakfast for a couple years (I like routine!) and had to stop and adapt when my body became unable to handle fresh greens like kale, spinach & celery… even lettuce came up as an allergy! That was a bummer. But I found shortly after that I could consume powdered greens just fine, especially Spirulina and Chlorella. This is an antioxidant powerhouse and with bone broth protein, healthy fats, probiotics from coconut kefir and Spirulina and is a must for good skin and immune support.
For this I used YourSuper Super Greens but you can sub with Power Matcha or a combination of spirulina & chlorella or other greens. I use Ancient Nutrition Vanilla Bone Broth Protein, which is available in my Wellevate Store.* It is full of and is quick to make! I like to use dōTERRA Lemon Essential Oil drops from the culinary collection or a squeeze of half an organic lemon. If you prefer vegan, the Q Sciences Vanilla EQ Protein is pea based and comes in little packets for easy carry. They are full of vitamins and digestive enzymes and are only 175 calories so can help to fill nutritional gaps. But If you struggle with legumes like I do (I have an inflammatory response) then go with the bone broth protein, which is immensely gut healing.

Ingredients
- 1 cup ice
- 1/4 cup avocado 🥑
- 2 Tbsp coconut kefir
- 1 Scoop Vanilla Bone Broth Protein or 1 pack EQ vanilla Pea Protein*
- 5-6 drops dōTERRA lemon 🍋
- 2-3 tsp YourSuper Super Greens Power Matcha or spirulina + matcha
- 1 cup water
Instructions
- Blend in a high powered blender until smooth and serve!
