I’ve been craving rosé like mad of late in this hot summer weather! And although I love to treat myself to some clean crafted wine once a week or so, I’m not going to do that every night.
So mid craving the other evening I found an old memory pop up on my social media from a less tired, more creative (and slightly bored) version of me from when I was living in Ireland. It was a Beetroot and Mint Kefir Smoothie… and I thought, oh my.
I’m not doing dairy much these days unless it’s a very aged sheep or goat cheese, and then in moderation. I really wanted a beverage so I pulled out my organic beetroot powder* and decided to make the latte version of that smoothie from my past.
So I made it in similar fashion to my Spiced Chaga Golden Milk and combined beet powder, dōTERRA peppermint drops and coconut milk to make a phytonutrient packed, liver cleansing, minty powerhouse that satisfied what my body was really craving.
I love the hot pink hues and mild minty flavor… and sometimes I just need something thicker than tea.
Give it a try and let me know what you think!
