For years, I sat with clients as a health coach and later as a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner whose lab work didn’t match their lived experience.
They were exhausted, inflamed, perimenopausal, autoimmune, or simply “not themselves,” yet their reports came back stamped with the most unhelpful word in modern healthcare:
“Normal.”
I knew that heartbreak personally.
When I moved back from Ireland in 2017, everything in my body was screaming that something was wrong. I was exhausted, inflamed, unraveling, and my nurse practitioner looked at my labs and said the same line so many of my clients would later hear:
“Everything looks normal.”
But it wasn’t.
A naturopath was the first person who truly saw what was happening in my labs. He saw the imbalances, the flags, and the patterns hiding in plain sight. And to be clear, he didn’t just help me once. Over the years, he walked with me through multiple phases of healing, adjusting support as my body changed and my terrain shifted.
He understood what my labs were saying. He understood what my body needed.
At the time, though, there were limits to what I could afford to act on. Dental work and deeper interventions were clearly indicated, but financially out of reach. Even with excellent interpretation, not everything could be addressed all at once.
His care brought meaningful relief and real stabilization. And still, in late 2018, my body eventually crashed under layers of unresolved stressors and root causes I hadn’t yet addressed.
That’s when something became painfully clear:
When people don’t have access to nuanced lab interpretation, or the resources and timing to act on it, they fall through the cracks.
Why Lab Interpretation Needed a Different Lens
After completing my Nutritional Therapy Practitioner certification, I knew I needed a way to interpret blood chemistry that honored both physiology and terrain. Digestion. Minerals. Blood sugar. Stress. Thyroid. The nervous system. The foundations everything else sits on.
LabLens began as a tool for me. A way to learn. A way to see patterns. A way to understand physiology beyond isolated numbers.
But it didn’t stay small.
The clarity it gave me changed the way I practiced. And the more practitioners I met who shared the same frustration I once did, the more I realized LabLens could serve others in the same way it served me.
What started as interpretation support grew into a structured practitioner system for seeing labs more clearly, organizing patterns more intelligently, and communicating findings more cleanly.
A Dual-Lens Interpretation System
Over time, LabLens grew into a complete interpretation system built on two complementary perspectives:
- Functional Medicine – functional optimal ranges and physiological context
- Terrain-Based Interpretation – root causes, minerals, systems biology, and foundations-first pattern recognition
Neither lens alone is enough. Together, they reveal the story the body has been trying to tell.
LabLens was built for practitioners who want to look beyond isolated highs and lows and understand what the body is communicating as a whole.
Who LabLens Is For
LabLens was created for practitioners who:
- work from a foundations-first philosophy
- value physiology more than protocols
- want to understand why labs shifted
- want to build stronger pattern-recognition skills
- serve clients with nuance, humility, and integrity
- know “normal” rarely means well
- believe the body communicates if we know how to listen
What’s Inside LabLens™
LabLens is not just a chart. It’s a practitioner-built system.
The system includes:
- A comprehensive blood chemistry reference built around functional optimal ranges
- Dual-lens interpretation using both Functional and Terrain perspectives
- Pattern-recognition guidance and system-level relationships
- A structured interpretation workbook for organizing markers and clinical patterns
- An integrated report generation system for practitioner, discovery, and client-facing outputs
- Connected Google Docs templates that support cleaner report delivery
- Practitioner setup guidance for integrating the system into workflow
- Foundations-first application rooted in digestion, blood sugar, minerals, fatty acids, sleep, and stress physiology
- A learning tool that grows with you over time
Why LabLens Is Different
Because it was built out of:
- lived experience
- real client work
- NTP training
- terrain-based study
- deep physiology
- prayer, discernment, and surrender
- the slow process of learning to read the story behind the numbers
Most systems tell you what the numbers are. LabLens helps you understand what they mean, how they relate, and how to communicate that clearly.
What LabLens Is Not
- Not a diagnostic tool
- Not a plug-and-play protocol generator
- Not a treatment plan
- Not medical advice
- Not meant for client self-interpretation
- Not a shortcut for clinical thinking
It’s a lens. A structured way to interpret patterns with clarity, confidence, and respect for physiology.
Accessing LabLens™
LabLens lives inside my Practitioner Vault, a protected library of the systems and tools I use in practice.
There are currently two practitioner license options depending on how you plan to use the system.
Founding Practitioner Pricing is currently available for a limited time.
A Note on Stewardship
LabLens is proprietary intellectual property intended for personal practitioner use only.
Please do not share passwords, redistribute materials, upload copies to shared drives or groups, or teach this system without written permission.
A licensing and certification pathway will be available in the future for practitioners who wish to teach or use the LabLens framework beyond individual client work.
If You’re Ready to See Labs Differently
I would love to welcome you into this work.
Clarity is one of the greatest gifts we can offer the people we serve.
